Hi friends, Season’s greetings to you! I hope you are having a happy, relaxing festive season!
I know for many people this is a time of year where they don’t feel happy, included, or whole, but feel sad, miserable, alone and that is painfully highlighted when others appear to be having a great old time with friends and family and have purposefully planned great holidays from which to have a great break from their awesome lives.
I’ve pretty much done every incarnation of sad holidays and I think not feeling part of an extended group at this time of year, having dysfunctional family or doing the reflection on your year ahead of New Year to find your life sorely lacking can be heart wrenching. It brings up feelings that we don’t know what to do with and can make us very upset with ourselves. So, if you relate to this post and your Christmas break hasn’t been full of good cheer, I’d like to acknowledge you.
Here’s some ideas that may land/prove uplifting:
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭
Whilst we may wonder why our soul chose certain challenges that our human self isn’t relishing, there is a reason…Time is a human concept. You are eternal and your true possibilities are vast. Stop measuring yourself against a false ideal.
Our soul doesn’t have a timeline that corresponds with society’s one. Your current circumstances which have manifested into your experience right now can (ultimately) direct you exactly where you want to go. They are just a blip on your true (eternal) timeline.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡
If things feel hugely challenging for you, you may have choosen this incarnation to become conscious and that is the biggest blessing! Your ultimate purpose may be much bigger than you realize.
Part of beginning to absorb and flow with that, is accepting the disruption to the idea of our lives we were attached to and embracing what we can create now and in the future.
Far from being helpless and messed up, you may be on the precipice of being discomforted enough to embrace your true power.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞
One year from now no matter how painful things are, we can be standing in a completely different place. And, I know you have that kind of resolve in you, or you wouldn’t be here reading this post.
All things change, good, bad and otherwise. One of the secrets of thriving here, is to embrace this.
Clear out your old baggage, let go of what no longer serves, then you are free to respond, embrace, flow, co-create, be dynamic and multi-dimensional in a way you would have never considered had your ‘proposed human journey’ come to fruition.
One of the reasons I love to teach my clients about their vibrational state and infinite nature is because on a human level suffering seems pointless and eternal. Once you understand how energy works and more about your purpose and true beingness, things start to shift into a place that offers comfort and makes a lot more sense!
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬
If you don’t like what’s showing up for you, you can do the work to change the messaging, the thoughts, feelings, emotions, beliefs, points of view, actions, messages, habits, patterns and choices that make up your world.
In fact you are so powerful that life bestows upon you exactly what you need to become aware of what you’d rather have and exactly the learning through which you can begin to flourish.
Ironically, often the more power you are choosing, the more painful and stuck things often need to be to make us ready to embrace who we came here to be.
𝐈𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬
I know what it’s like to feel pretty beaten down. It’s like one part of you sees the possibilities and the greater part is just in pain, helpless and doesn’t know what to do. Throw resistance and anger into the mix and it feels like a perfect shit storm.
What’s so annoying is that we are creating it, yet, we would never have wanted to be where we’re at, so it doesn’t quite feel real. The frustration and challenge can seem never ending and we can create a negative response for every possibility.
𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦
Victim thinking is one of the worst things we learn here in Earth school. It is disempowering, cyclical, crazy making and yet once we are there, it can seem tough to get out of.
If you can create it, you can uncreate it. It’s just a choice. It takes you to ask for help, be willing to receive it and be humble enough to look for some new answers. We never move forward with the same thinking that created our problems!
𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Often through dissociation, we don’t have access to true self compassion and that makes it difficult to feel real kindness for ourselves. It can take a long time of going through the motions of good self care/body care before we begin to feel. If that’s where you’re at, it does improve.
Set your intention to receive guidance, to be kind to yourself, to create change and hold fast to that. When we’ve done our own work, we should be able to hold the same feelings for ourselves that we would for an animal or infant in our care.
𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 ‘𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦’ 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮
They are always there and always have our back, it’s just that we move away from them sometimes especially if we were never taught about them. Ask and ye shall receive is a universal truth. Ask for guidance, support and love and you’ll be amazed what happens.
I hope this is helpful to some of you who may be finding Xmas this year tough.
With much love
