Self healing allows us to get free of our past, to overcome negative thought patterns and have more peace and ease.
If we are interested in pursuing our greatness, it’s an essential step towards creating authentic and lasting change.
You simply can’t place the new over the top of the old and do well. Here’s some perspectives to get you going.
1. HEALING IS ABOUT FREEING THE BODY AND MIND AND PROCESSING PAIN INTO WISDOM
When we embrace healing, we make a decision to extract the wisdom from our past and create a new biology, way forwards and outlook on life.
Processing past trauma and allowing present situtations to guide our growth are important aspects here. To truly heal, you must embrace pain, witness it, learn what it has to teach you and then let it go.
When we do this, the negative beliefs associated with the pain can be reframed and released along with the emotion. If we don’t release these, we will continue to attract more pain and endless suffering. Suffering comes when we resist pain and then lock it into our body as a result.
Freeing the body is an important part of healing. It has it’s own inherent wisdom. Once we clear the old to create new space we can fill it with new truths and perspectives. We can pause and start to align with our inner being and what our soul knows. This is timeless and beyond suffering.
2. WE ARE READY WHEN WE ARE READY
There is a sense that comes when it’s our time. A tingling, a knowing, a feeling of being guided, an opening and ususally some strange ‘co-incidences’ like stumbling across people you haven’t seen in a while who recommend someone or other signs.
Far from feeling overwhelmed, we may experience sensations of hope, lightness, things being different and a gentle kind of push forward which is in direct opposition to what we have been carrying.
If any of these things are happening for you, you are ready. We can choose to seek healing at any time. If we keep getting pulled back into confusion, chaos and old habits, it’s really showing you the contrast. Follow your awareness!
3. LIFE WILL CONSPIRE TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN YOU CHOOSE HEALING
It’s amazing how when you choose for your highest goood, life will provide you with gentle opportunities to process and learn, people with just the right book or contact or that new greatest podcast that you need.
After a while we develop an intuition about what’s coming up for us and how to deal with it. There are signs when we are ready to release, process and let go of something. It will be in our face, someone will prompt us to look at an old emotional wound, circumstances will force us to address an old pattern. An old physical symptom will re-emerge…
You can start to trust your sensations about when to read, journal, have a session, withdraw or spend some time processing for yourself. You will learn the methods that work for you, who to see for different issues and you will know what’s required and when. You will trust the process and your own judgment.
4. HEALING IS WEIRD UNTIL YOU ARE USED TO IT
What absolutely no one is talking about is how it feels to get lighter, freer and to watch your problems leave. It is a truly strange sensation to get back to who we were before past events (whilst retaining the wisdom we have gained in the processing of them).
It can seem quite surreal. We are all familiar with another problem and another burden, undoing and freeing our burdens can leave us with spaciousness and ease that is unfamiliar. It’s into that space we can put new patterns, habits, choices, thoughts, feelings and emotions.
5. THE BIGGER THE PAIN THE BIGGER YOUR PURPOSE
If we use our free will to choose healing, the bigger your challenges have been through, the more joy you will experience in getting free, the more wisdom has been made available for you to access as you process your stuff.
When starting out it can be a huge leap of faith, but as you become less burdened and re connect with your inner essence and presence, the way forward can reveal itself bit by bit in a glorious way.
