We are in times of unprecedented change and that, along with the threat of illness, upheaval in our immediate lifestyle and changes in economic circumstances, has left many feeling overwhelmed.
People are confused, scared, unsure of how to adapt and may be struggling emotionally. We are all in a process of letting go of what was, as we acclimatize to the rapidly changing conditions of a new planet and a different, (ultimately) more interconnected and freer way forwards.
For those who had unprocessed trauma already and perhaps anxiety or depression, it is now coming to the surface to be addressed in a raw, immediate and powerful way. COVID19 is an amplifier for what needs to change collectively and individually.
I trust if you are in that boat, this writing may offer some measure of comfort, insight and support. What follows are tips and information to help you evolve at this time. Please reach out if you need to and enjoy the read.
1. STOP JUDGING YOURSELF
Everyone is doing their best to deal with lockdown, given the skills, tools, knowledge, awareness, money, relationships and resources they came into it with. Your current reality doesn’t reflect your inherent value and over time, your current reality will change.
In a funny kind of way, this is the one time that if your ducks are not in a row (and all you have a squirrels at a rave LOL) it doesn’t matter! There is also space to reflect, strategize, re-formulate and be as messy as you need to be, without pressure!!!
Some of us are blessed to use this time to get twenty steps ahead, some are in a quagmire of hurt, addiction, depression, limitation, resistance, fear and separation.
Two years from now, none of that will matter. What will matter was how kind you were to yourself and what you decided your future would be like, once this is over.
2. LOCKDOWN IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR INNER STATE OF BEING
Basically, how lockdown manifests for you, is a reflection of whether you are free on the inside or not. Lockdown is just another trigger and thing to react to, when we already feel disempowered.
Resolve to deal with whatever has locked you up inside whenever and however you are able to. In the meantime do whatever you need to, to get by and reach out to someone you trust for comfort and support.
Ask to receive the guidance, support and opportunities you require to survive and longer time, to thrive.
3. LIFE IS RAPIDLY CHANGING, WE ARE GRIEVING AND MAY FEAR BEING LEFT BEHIND
We are all aware that life will never be the same after this and the old ways of being and excuses we are used to, will probably no longer be available to us.
That can seem very scary and unless we are already very adaptable and empowered, can create feelings of overwhelm.
If you need to grieve, allow yourself to. Grief isn’t a one time deal, it is a process of release and adaptation and it’s possible to let go of the old and reach for the new simultaneously.
What will be following these events, is a plethora of support, skilled professionals and options for personal change. Vibrationally change is going to be easier after COVID19, because the collective is dragging us forwards like it or not. So, this might be an opportunity in disguise for you.
What if you could challenge your existing beliefs? Would there be room in there for a different possibility to show up? Is there space in all of this shifting for you to connect with your inner resourcefulness and surprise yourself? Does that feel expansive?
4. MANAGE YOUR SHORT TERM FOCUS TO CREATE LONG TERM GAINS AND ‘PROCESS’ ALL YOU NEED TO
Where you place your focus matters, as we are vibrational beings and we manifest energetically long before the results show up.
Spending some time each day feeling relaxed/happy/safe/grateful is not a positivety by-pass, but an opportunity to create some vibrational gains that will benefit you.
You can grieve, feel depressed, anxious, cheated, miserable, dis-empowered, angry, sad as much as you need to and for one hour a day, you can choose to feel different.
We’ve all experienced major drama and gone into survival mode, been distracted, shocked, upset, disoriented and noticed at some point our feelings were different and we weren’t preoccupied with how dreadful life is.
This is something we can cultivate intentionally. Express, release and allow all your emotions and when you are ready, instead of staying stuck in them, choose some activities (even for an hour a day) that shift your physical and mental state.
Eventually, this gives you a sense of being in control of your inner world and less at the effect of external events.
It also yields opportunities, people and things that are a match for that (happier) state, instead of more stuff that is just depressing. It is a win:win.
5. BE PATIENT AND ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR GAINS TO CREATE MORE
Life’s usually not about being a rock star today, it’s about growing our self discipline, emotional skill base, self awareness and sense of autonomy, one step at a time and that’s enough.
Everyone who’s life looks amazing on the outside, has gone through some kind of process of growing their resilience, practicing problem solving, developing their self belief, overcoming challenges, seeking support and new information and taking time practice and integrate this. We don’t see that winding pathway to success, but rather, just the outwards results.
It’s important when on a quest to discover our inner power as a path to taking charge of our outer reality, not to compare ourselves with others. I used to worry I could never do enough work on myself to catch up to those who were already successful. It turns out that in the process of that transformation, I unlocked the keys to creating a phenomenal future, which I’m already enjoying and you can too!
What we focus on grows, so acknowledge your wins. Sometimes the ‘smaller’ the win, the more significant it is that we got there!! As we progress, we think the wins become bigger (and for sure they accumulate), but sometimes, we just become more skilled and do it for longer, so let’s not forget that!
6. WHEN WE RE-EMERGE, LIFE WILL BE BETTER
Our planet is renewing, refreshing and clearing out, because this is all what we have been collectively requesting. It is just showing up in ways that no one predicted.
The separation we have known as a culture that is prevalent and underlying all Western society depression statistics, is being broken apart. There is much support on the way as many people are changing their values as a result of this.
You get to write the story of your life and cast yourself as the hero or the victim. Despite current challenges and changed economic conditions going forwards, what better time to start over?
There is much magic and many possibilities awaiting us. This is a time for creativity, renewal and using our resources both inner and in the physical differently.
You ultimately get to choose how much and what you are willing to create, generate and receive.
